Rolled out of the Smokies today and staying at Mountain Moma’s – a mountain retreat. Pictures are of Mountain Moma’s, where I’m staying in the honeymoon suite with the honorable “Recycle”. This is the true south

(Picture: Mouldering Privy at Groundhog Creek Shelter.) These privy’s are above ground. They work by being exposed to the air so bacteria can decompose feces. FUN. Two days to Hot Springs.

4/11/03
Got creamed with snow again – one foot. Walked in it – slept in it. Weather has been very challenging. They even closed the Smokies. Sad; I ran out of film – didn’t get many shots of the snow. I’m in Hot Springs recovering. Will hit the Trail on Saturday or Sunday. Peace.
